Hello, audacious readers!

Summer is quickly approaching which means one thing…we must read more! Get ready to pack a book in your suitcase and read by the pool or the beach. Last month, we explored the dark side of 1950’s Hollywood in The Seventh Veil of Salome by Silvia Moreno-Garcia. This month, we’re exploring self-destruction and transformation in the poetry volume infinite ways to burn by Jhane.

When we think of love, it’s easy to conjure images of the happy moments: laughing with each other on the couch, dates around town, quiet conversations, and being free with one another. However, as many a poem and song have warned, there’s also a darker side to love that can come—or rather in a relationship that initially is built on it.

Jhane explores her own personal experiences of love, anger, longing, and outrage and the ways it can warp us. Her poetry takes us on a journey of loss and destruction when chaos erupts along with what’s left of us when fires burn previous connections to ash as well as the power of rediscovering oneself afterwards.

Deeply insightful and painful, infinite ways to burn pulls back the veil on the ugly realities of a relationship both romantically and personally. This book is available on Amazon and make sure to request it at your local library branch.

I hope you guys enjoy this book and I’ll see you in June for the full review. Also make sure to check out Audacity’s 6th Anniversary Party on June 7th as we celebrate another fantastic year. Until then, don’t forget to read audaciously!
