The Bridal Business Edit Part 1: Big Wedding, Small Businesses

The Bridal Business Edit Part 1: Big Wedding, Small Businesses

By Jessica Wise

Surprise! I got married!

I hesitated to make content out of my wedding (and I damn sure won’t be making content out of my husband) for a few reasons. Mainly, I didn’t want to make an already busy time busier. I wanted to remain present and not in my camera. But, as I thought about how intentional my husband and I were about this event, and how it was about more than just the two of us, I realized how many people our wedding was feeding.

When I say “feeding” I’m not just talking about our late-night brunch reception for our 185 guests. We were feeding into small businesses and our local economy, too. By intentionally using majority local small businesses, we were feeding into our community in ways we had never considered — something Audacity does every day. And that was content worth creating and sharing on this platform.

Thus, The Bridal Business Edit was born.

The small businesses we partnered with made our wedding magical. And we wanted to pour into them with more than just a one-time purchase. This edit spotlights them to a whole new audience, and they deserve it.

Here’s every small business we hired as vendors for our 2026 wedding in Atlanta, Georgia:

Honorable Mentions of Vendors I Loved But Couldn’t Book:

A wedding is not just putting your decision on display. You and your partner are committing to joining forces to support the community around you, and the community who bears witness to the occasion is hopefully better because of it, from all those warm and fuzzy moments to introducing them to a Black-owned cottage bakery. And while shopping small isn’t always convenient, supporting your local businesses is worth it.

If you book them, tell them Jessica from Audacity sent you.
